Language level
The Certificado Inicial enables learners to meet their basic
communication needs in Spanish. They are able to communicate
in everyday situations using basic language.
Usefulness
The Certificado Inicial is the only internationally recognised
language exam on an elementary level. It is recognised as
evidence of basic language skills.
