CIC I (Certificato di italiano commerciale, livello intermedio) provides learners with first vocational language skills needed to survive in social and work situations in an Italian-speaking environment.

Usefulness: CIC I and A (Certificato di italiano commerciale intermedio und avanzato) are two vocational Italian language exams. The CIC, livello intermedio, is recocnised worldwide as proof of first vocational Italian skills.

Examiner: The Università per Stranieri, Perugia (USP) is the oldest and most reputed institution in the field of Italian teaching. The CIC exams were introduced in 2000.
