Requirements
Approx. 300-400 lessons (of 50 min.) extensive tuition.

Language level
The ZD provides learners with sound language skills needed to survive in social and work situations in a German speaking environment. The learner is able to speak and write about everyday topics.

Usefulness
In commerce and industry the ZD is recognised as evidence of basic language skills. In Germany the ZD is recognised as fulfilling the language requirement for German citizenship.

Goethe-Institut, Schweiz. Konferenz der Kant. Erziehungsdirektoren (EDK), OeSD (Oesterr. Sprachdiplom Deutsch) and the Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme (WBT).
